The key cost factors at a glance

Six factors essentially determine what your project costs:

• Area and scope: The larger the area, the lower the price per square metre usually becomes – set-up and preparation time is spread out.
• Material and old coating: Thick, tough paint layers or multiple coats take considerably more time than loose rust or dirt.
• Accessibility: Working at height, awkward corners, scaffolding or lifts – anything that makes access harder costs time.
• Blast media: Type and consumption vary widely – fine speciality media for delicate surfaces cost more than standard media for robust steel.
• Protection and disposal: Covering, extraction and the proper disposal of the spent media are part of the job.
• Travel: With us it is shown transparently as a separate item – and its share drops when we bundle appointments in your region.

Important to understand: these factors work together. A small piece that has to be blasted delicately can cost more per unit of area than a large, robust steel wall – because care takes time. What is honest is therefore always a range – 'from–to, depending on the object' – and a fixed price as soon as the workload is clear.

An example on travel: if your object is further away, we first check whether your appointment can be combined with other jobs in the region – then several customers share the route, and the travel share in your quote drops noticeably.
