Mobile in Ulm

Straight down the A7 to the Danube

From Altusried we reach Ulm via the A7 in just over an hour – around 85 kilometres. That makes the twin city of Ulm/Neu-Ulm a firm part of our service area: even mid-sized projects can comfortably be planned as day jobs without the travel dominating the quote.

As always, we bring everything the job needs – from the compressor to the right blast media. The blasting happens right at your place: at the house, in the workshop, in the production hall or on the construction site.

Around 85 kilometres down the A7 – Ulm and Neu-Ulm are short, easily planned trips for us.

Typically Ulm

Timber framing, beams and plenty of history

Think of Ulm and you think of the Minster and the Fischerviertel and tanners' quarter with their timber-framed houses along the Blau. That is exactly where sandblasting plays to its strengths: old layers of paint and stain come off framing timbers, beamed ceilings and staircases gently, letting the wood breathe again and show its grain. We work with fine grit and low pressure – crucial with soft softwoods.

Ulm is also a strong industrial and trades location: we thoroughly derust steel structures, machine parts, railings and gates and prepare them for priming or powder coating – indoors or in the open.

  • Expose timber framing and beamed ceilings
  • Strip paint from wooden staircases and doors
  • Derust steelwork and machine parts
  • Gently clean facades and masonry

Frequently asked questions

Questions about sandblasting in Ulm

Yes, on both banks of the Danube – the state border between Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria makes no difference to our work. The area around Ulm is covered too.
With the wrong technique, yes – which is why we always blast wood with fine media, low pressure and the correct distance. We set the parameters beforehand on an inconspicuous test patch. Softer earlywood rings are slightly accentuated in the process, giving the wood a natural, rustic character.
Blasting produces dust – so we cover up, seal off work areas and clean up after completion. Discuss with us in advance which rooms are affected, and we will plan the protection accordingly.
That depends on area, material and accessibility – a serious answer is only possible after seeing the object. Send us photos and dimensions and you will receive a free fixed-price quote, with the travel itemised transparently.
